令我们遗憾的是,以美国CNN,英国BBC,德国NTV等为代表的西方媒体,不顾事实,坚持用他们一贯的有色眼镜来看待中国政府正义的平暴行为,将歹徒的暴行说成是\"和平抗议\",而将中国政府为维护秩序而采取的必要行动描黑成\"暴力镇压言论自由\"等.这样不问事实,颠倒黑白的报道方式,绝不会被广大支持祖国统一的中国人民,以及有正义感是非感的世界人民所接受!
更有甚者,在CNN,BBC,NTV这些一贯标榜新闻自由,人权,民主等口号的西方媒体,却公然使用修改过的照片甚至是完全不相干的照片来作为\"中国政府镇压西藏人\"的\"证据\".这种严重违反新闻报道基本道德的行径,也必将被世人所唾弃.
搜狐网友因此对那些歪曲报道西藏事件真相的西方媒体提出正式抗议,要求他们尽快还原事实真相,清除过去歪曲报道造成的不良影响,并对中国政府和人民作出正式道歉.我们诚恳希望得到你们真诚的回答。当然，你也可以忽略我们，或者再次使出指鹿为马的绝招，那我们就必须要继续以合法手段来捍卫我们的“人权”了.
In March 2008, in the Tibet province of People\'s Republic of China and some surrounding provinces, riots happened which have been proven to be linked to the independence-seeking Tibetan government-in-exile led by Dalai Lama. The Tibetan rioters who took part in the uprise attacked innocent civilians in public and siege government buildings. Both led to great loss in lives and property. Meanwhile, longtime Tibetan exiles’ have organized several protests overseas to respond to the Chinese domestic riots. In multiple countries, Tibetan exiles’ violently attacked the diplomatic offices of the PRC. Chinese embassies in Toronto, Canada and Munich, Germany, were broken by Tibetan protesters. The Chinese National Flags were assaulted. These acts were severe and against the Vienna Treaty.
Shamefully, Western Medias such as C N N of the United States, BBC of the United Kingdom, and NTV of Germany, disregarding the actual facts, insisted on viewing Chinese government\'s action to ease the riots through colored glasses, describing the violence performed by a few Tibetans as \"peaceful protests\". In the contrast, they viewed the necessary steps taken by the Chinese government to restore order as \"crackdown the freedom of expression\", etc. This kind of truthless, modified ways of reporting is not and will not be accepted by the majority of Chinese people who support the sovereignty of our Motherland, is not and will not be accepted by the majority of people worldwide who have the ability to tell right from wrong.
More over, Western Medias such as C N N, BBC and NTV, who have always labeled themselves as samples of free expression, human rights protectors and democracy supporters, used modified or even unrelated pictures, such as pictures of Indian and Nepal police taking down Tibetan protestors, as the evidences of \"Chinese army torturing Tibetans\". These lies severely damaged the reputation of the media, and broke the fundamental ethic of reporting.
We as SOHU users and ordinary Chinese people, hereby propose a formal complaint against the Western Medias who have been reporting the Tibet matter in a bended way. We demand that they restore the facts as soon as possible, clear the negative impacts left by their original faulty reports, and file formal apology to the Chinese government as well as Chinese people. We hope that they would reply to this demand with sincere. Of course, they could choose to ignore this righteous demand, or again pointing fingers at wrong targets as they have done for so many times. If that would be the case, we would be forced to protect our rights through legal actions.
